Dear Faculty:

The admissions committee has been considering several initiatives to facilitate recruiting and retaining an intellectually lively, diverse and interesting student body. One proposal is to modify the application to incorporate a brief essay (200 words or less) that might provide more discriminating information. We are writing to solicit your input on the following questions. Please use the "Comments" link after each question to let us know what you like or don’t like about these potential questions, or if you have other suggestions. Thank you!
