Tutorial 4: Opening a New Document
Opening a New Document
All Windows 95 applications follow the same file
conventions for opening, saving and retrieving a document. So, whether
you are using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint or any other application designed
to run under Windows, the procedure will be the same. We will use
an example from MS Word for our demo.
Now It's Your Turn ...
Now, open MS Word. Create a new document.
In the body of the document, type: This is a test. Do not
close MS Word. Minimize it by clicking on the uppermost _ box in
the upper right hand corner of your screen. Leave it alone
for now--you will come back to it at the end of the next tutorial.
