Things to Bring

ALL of your belongings MUST fit into two bags:  a large backpack and a sizable day pack.  If you don’t already have a backpack be sure to have a backpack fitted to you by a knowledgeable sales representative at a reputable outdoor equipment store.  REI in Atlanta or Half-moon Outfitters or Sunrift Adventures in Greenville and Traveler’s Rest respectively are recommended.  Laptop computers may be brought separately in their own case.  However, you and you alone will be responsible for the safety and security of your laptop.  Furman will provide at least two laptops for class use.  The items on the medical and equipment lists are required.  All other items (and quantities) are simply recommended unless otherwise noted.  **See additional requirements listed under the course descriptions**
