Kirkland Dickey - a Drama Department graduate has had an interesting career path that has included some theatre work, Army work, living in many locations and has now settled on a firm career choice - with the addition of a nursing degree from UNC-G. He is a nurse manager in the Recovery ICU.
The faculty of our department have been saying for years that a degree in theatre from Furman - with its liberal arts component - would prepare a student for ANY cafreer possible. This is one of the many many stories to confirm the truth of that statement.
Kirkland was even featured in an ad appearing in major magazines, advertising the school from which he received his nursing degree. SO - he earns street cred as a male model as well!
