BROWNLEE RECEIVES TWO MORE ALL-AMERICA HONORS
GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman University midfielder Kaye Brownlee added two more All America honors to her resume on Friday as she was named second team All America by Soccer Buzz and third team All America by College Soccer Online.
Last week, Brownlee became the first Lady Paladin to earn All America honors in Furman's six-year women's soccer history when she was named first team All America by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Brownlee has also been honored as a first team All South selection by both the NSCAA and Soccer Buzz.
A sophomore from Kennesaw, Ga., Brownlee led Furman with 13 goals and 17 assists on the season. She set Furman single season records for goals and points. Brownlee finished the season fourth in the nation in assists after placing second during her freshman season.
Furman finished the season 20-3, setting school and Southern Conference records for overall wins. The Lady Paladins also set records for goals, assists, points, conference wins, wins at home, and wins on the road. The Lady Paladins, the Southern Conference regular season and tournament champions, earned their first NCAA Tournament bid in history.
