FURMAN-DUKE MATCH SET FOR WED AT 7 P.M.; LADY PALADINS FINISH 25TH IN FINAL POLL

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman women's soccer team's first round match against Duke in the NCAA Tournament has been scheduled for 7 p.m. at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, N.C., it was announced today.

The Lady Paladins finished the regular season ranked 25th in the nation in the final Soccer Buzz regular season poll. Furman had been ranked as high as 13th this season.

Furman will be making its second consecutive NCAA Tournament trip as the Lady Paladins lost 1-0 to Central Florida in the first round last year.

Furman is 20-2 on the season and claimed the 2000 Southern Conference regular season title with a perfect 9-0 league mark this year. The winner of the Furman-Duke match will play at Clemson Saturday night at 7 p.m.
