GREENVILLE, S.C.-- Snellville, Ga.'s Brookwood High took its second title of the day at the Furman Invitational as the Bronco junior varsity boys team edged Knoxville, Tenn.'s Farragut High by five points. Brookwood had four top-ten finishes en route to a total score of 34, with Farragut coming in second with 39 points. Collins Hill (Ga.), Lakeside (Ga.), and Wade Hampton finished behind Farragut, respectively.
Brookwood's Buck Pardee finished first overall with
a 17:21 time, followed by Farragut's Chad Turner (17:34) and CJ Recher
(17:40). Brookwood's Joseph Pinto came in fourth with a 17:41 time, and
Farragut's Brad Pease logged a 17:48 time to finish fifth.
