TOP RANKED COLORADO WINS MEN'S GOLD

The top ranked Buffaloes of Colorado won the NCAA Pre-Meet Gold Race Saturday with 62 points. Second place went to fifth ranked Notre Dame, which totaled 172 points, and Air Force took third with a 184 tally.

Colorado put three runners in the top 10 and were led by Jorge Torres and Dathan Ritzenhein, who finished second and third respectively, with times of 23:49 and 24:11.

The individual title was won by Eastern Michigan's Boaz Cheboiywo, who set a new course record with a time of 23:31, almost 30 seconds better than the previous mark of 24:00, set in 1997 by Colorado's Adam Goucher.
