FURMAN¹S CROSBY TAKES SIXTH IN RALEIGH RELAYS

RALEIGH, North Carolina -- Furman junior Kevin Crosby competed in the seeded 10,000m run at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday, taking sixth with a time of 30:33.08, 16 seconds off the winning time of 30:17.38, recorded by Aaron Rowe of Edinboro.

Crosby¹s time was 48 seconds shy of the NCAA fully automated (FAT) time of 29:45.00, needed to earn a provisional qualifying sport at the NCAA Championships.

A fourth place finisher in the 2002 Southern Conference 10,000m run, Crosby will compete in the 5000m race at this Saturday¹s Jack In The Box Furman Invitational, and run the 10,000m again at the Southern Conferrence Championships, April 18-19, in Boone, N.C.
