Bringing A Computer To Furman?

If you are bringing a computer to Furman (and we recommend that you do), you will need to complete the computer certification process in order to get your machine connected to the Furman network. The certification process can be found online at this URL: http://computing.furman.edu/certification.php

If you have trouble completing the certification process or have trouble connecting your computer to the network in your room after completing the certification process, bring your computer (just the tower not the keyboard, mouse, monitor) to the Watkins Room in the University Center on Friday, August 22, between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., or Saturday, August 23, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Computing and Information Services staff will be available to assist new students with the certification process on those days. If you bring your machine to us after August 23, you will have to wait in line with the returning students for support.
