ALCUIN
The Furman University library catalog which contains records for the books, serials, music scores, sound recordings, and video recordings held by the library. Each record is a complete bibliographic description of the work and contains location, call number, and circulation status for the item. All journal and magazine subscriptions are described as to format and coverage by volume and date.Nature Publications
Nature.com contains the full text of over 20 science journals from Nature Publishing, including the core journal Nature, Nature review journals, and Nature research journals. An additional 30 titles are described through citations and abstracts.

BIOSIS
There is some cross over with Cambridge but BIOSIS focuses on a much smaller number of journal titles that perennially constitute the core journal collections in medium sized university libraries. Search strategies here can often uncover what does not appear for the same technique used in Cambridge Scientific.

Nature Publications
Nature.com contains the full text of over 20 science journals from Nature Publishing, including the core journal Nature, Nature review journals, and Nature research journals. An additional 30 titles are described through citations and abstracts.

Access Science
Good for quick and thorough background on concepts, terminology, and processes. Access Science is an online encyclopedia of science and technology. It includes over 7000 articles, 100,000 definitions and 2000 in-depth biographies. It also offers weekly updates on scientific events, discoveries and breakthroughs, plus links to quality web sites. Continues McGraw-Hill’s 20+ volume Encyclopedia of Science and Technology.

Cambridge Scientific Abstracts-Biological Sciences
This is the most comprehensive of all our databases in the Life Sciences supplying abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science. Supporting over two dozen areas of expertise, this CSA database provides access to literature from over 6000 serials, as well as conference proceedings, technical reports, monographs and selected books and patents.
