Over
the course of this term you will create an electronic portfolio
as a record of your achievements in French 12. This e-portfolio
will contain personal information (in the form of images and
written and spoken text) that relates to the theme of each chapter.
Requirements
• Purchase one CD-RW on which you will save your project.
• Use Photo Story 3 to create your e-portfolio. If you
aren't familiar with the program, schedule an appointment with
your professor.
• Visit the Language Resource Center weekly to add information
to your e-portfolio.
• Create one or two introductory slides, three to four
slides per chapter (chapters 7-11), and a conclusion, for a
total of 17 to 23 slides.
• Create a slideshow that is at least 5 minutes long,
but no more than 7.
• Record narration for each slide. Before recording, submit
your script (and captions) for evaluation (and for credit) by
the dates indicated.
• While you may put captions on your slides, captions
may not contain complete sentences. For example, a picture of
your family may be labeled ma famille, but it may not be labeled
J’ai une famille nombreuse.
• Use the structures and vocabulary covered during the
term.
• You will present your portfolio to the class near the
end of the term. During the presentation, you will narrate each
slide “live”; you will not be allowed to play your
narration track. At the end of your presentation you will respond
to questions from your classmates.
• You will submit your final project, including recorded
narration, on CD the day of your presentation.
Notes
• You may use photos, clip art, or other digital images.
You may use the scanner in the LRC to scan your print photos.
• You may add a music track, but it should be instrumental
in order not to interfere with your narration.
• Your portfolio should contain a logical flow of information;
it does not need to follow the same organization as the textbook
chapters.
• The questions provided are merely suggestions for what
you might include in your portfolio. Please add ideas of your
own.
• You should go back and add information as you learn
how to say more, but always submit your text for correction.

Avez-vous jamais eu une opération, un accident,
ou un maladie sérieuse qui a exigé un traitement
particulier?
Vous
pourriez parler également de vos efforts de sauvegarder
l'environnement, ou du rôle que l'informatique joue
dans votre vie, si ces domaines vous intéressent.
Essayez
de donner une conclusion forte à votre script qui
résume ce que vous avez dit ou qui identifie un
thème commun à toutes vos activités.
