Music 23 Assignments: 23C Final Project

Compose a short piece which can be performed by your study partner team. Teams without a chordal instrument (piano, guitar, etc.) may borrow someone from another group if desired.

Your piece should display your mastery of concepts studied in Music 23.

The project will consist of three components: (1) a computer-notated score printout; (2) a written summary of the Music 23 concepts displayed in your piece (with reference to measure numbers in your score); (3) a live performance of your piece.

Parts 1 and 2 (score and written commentary) are due Monday, May 24. Live performances may be scheduled for Friday, May 21or Monday, May 24.

Projects will be graded on: correct use of Music 23 concepts, communication of concepts in your written summary, neatness and accuracy of your score, and overall musicality of your piece and its performance.
