Welcome to TheoryChat. The objective is for all students in the class to be able to engage in relevant discussion simultaneously from remote locations all over campus. Since all comments are logged, threads of discussion can be stopped and picked up again over the entire term.
This facility is based on the "Chat" program which you may have seen elsewhere on the World Wide Web. Click here for help in learning how to use it.
You may choose any alias (or "handle") for yourself while using this tool. To do this, replace anonymous with your chosen alias before entering your message and clicking on CHAT. Please be consistent with with using your alias. That way everyone will have a legitimate sense of with whom they are communicating.
Notice: I will award 1 extra credit point for posting a thoughtful, appropriate question to TheoryChat. I will also award extra credit points for posting an answer to a question. The number of points awarded will depend on the correctness and completeness of the answer.
If you have any comments or suggestions for how to improve this program, please send mail to Dr. Daniel Koppelman in the Music Department.
