  • At beginning of elongation the “A” site is empty

• Beginning of Elongation

  • EF-Tu with a GTP site
  • Associates with aminoacyl-tRNA
  • Delivers tRNA to “A” site
  • EF-Tu-GDP recharged by EF-TS
