- Sperm development requires cooler temperatures
- cold external temperatures
- Muscles around testes contract, pulling it closer to body.
- Testes made up of series of lobes
- each lobe composed of highly convoluted tubes called seminiferous tubules
- sperm develops within seminiferous tubules
