Help With Writing A Humanities Paper

Return to WRITING ACROSS DISCIPLINES Table of Contents.
Return to POWERWRITE Home Page.

Writing a paper in the Humanities is based on the interpretation of texts using your own personal education, experiences and views. This individual interpretation is what makes humanities papers unique, and very different from a paper written for a science based discipline. Topics in Humanities includes subjects such as the arts, literature, history and philosophy. While many of the guidelines for writing literature papers also apply to other humanities disciplines, there are some suggestions that are also useful for a broader spectrum of papers.
