This schedule must be considered tentative at best.  The pace of the workshop will be determined by the participants themselves.  Please be flexible and willing to "go with the flow" as the need may dictate.

  • Saving and retrieving files
  • Customize your desktop
  • Put the following applications on the Office toolbar:
    • Windows Explorer
    • Notepad
    • Netscape Communicator
  • Create a personal folder on C:\
  • Copy the file named readme.htm from your CD to your folder
(Those participants who do not have an email account already established will need to sign up for a Hotmail account before lunch.  I will work with you to set these up.)

  • Insert your CD into the CD drive.  Double-click on "My Computer," then on the icon for the CD drive.  Open the folder called "texts" and then open the file in the language you teach.  For languages other than French, Spanish, German, Italian, or Latin, click here for an English text to work with.
  • Using the online correction techniques presented, correct the text.
  • Save it to your personal folder on C:\
