Butterflies and Moths of Southern Vancouver Island--Jeremy B. Tatum

Cydia nigricana

Pea Moth

As mentioned in the account of the Diamondback Moth Plutella xylostella, it is often worth paying the extra money at a grocery store for organically-grown vegetables, and I have been fortunate to find caterpillars of the Pea Moth with my purchases of garden peas and of broad beans. The small blackish moth can be recognized by the row of inclined elongated whitish dots along the costal margin.
