Apodrepanulatrix litaria
The tips of the forewings of this moth are very slightly pointed or hooked - “falcate”. This doubtless accounts for the “drepanula” part of its long name, for there is a slight superficial resemblance to the hook-tip moths of the genus Drepana of the family Drepanidae. It is, however, a geometrid, and the caterpillars, which feed on Ceanothus thyrsiflorus and doubtless other Ceanothus species, are typical of the geometrid caterpillars.
