Northern Flicker Colaptes auratus Status: Common W Uncommon SP, S, F Northern Flickers are much more common on campus in the winter months. These birds are the second largest Woodpecker species on campus (after the Pileated Woodpecker), and share habitat preferences with most other Woodpeckers.
