Reflecting
Furman University's commitment to the environment and sustainability,
Furman University views the campus as a habitat for people and other
organisms. To promote greater knowledge about our non-human co-habitants,
faculty and students are conducting surveys of various taxonomic groups,
listing the species seen on our campus. The goal of these species lists
is to make people aware of the rich biodiversity in our own "back
yard", and to encourage people to notice, appreciate, value, and
preserve this diversity. If you take a picture of a species not listed
on the existing pages, please send your picture to Wade Worthen (wade.worthen@furman.edu),
noting the date, time, and place, and it will be added to our list as
your observation. |
