- Read A/S Ch. 5, esp. the Points for Review on pg. 77
- Study p. 107-109 in Listen and Sing



Due Friday, 1/9:
- A/S (the text, NOT the workbook): p. 77, #3 (a, c, e, f, g)
- Study p. 69-76 in A/S

Due Monday, 1/12:

- Study p. 81-87 in A/S.
Due Wednesday, 1/14:
Write a preliminary sketch for Friday's assignment, as follows:
- choose a key, meter, and tempo
- write the cadential chords in keyboard style (see Ex. 6-4, A/S p. 84)

Due Friday, 1/16:
- Compose a short piece, for piano, using the Kuhnau "Biblical Sonata" (A/S, 81) as a model.
Start on I, end the first section with a half cadence (V), then begin the second section on V, ending with an authentic cadence (I). Use only these two chords, and almost exclusively chord tones, with maybe a few passing tones.
You may submit a team entry with your study partner if you wish.


Due Monday, 1/19:
- A/S/W p.41, #1: a, b, c, d, h. Use the progressions on p. 85-86 as a model.
- Study p. 89-92 in A/S, especially "Points for Review" on 92.


Due Wednesday, 1/21:
