Isoelectric Point:
- pH at which a molecule carries no net electric charge
pI = 1/2(pKi + pKj)
- For amino acids with only 2 pKs (2 ionizable groups) this equals pK1 and pK2.
- For aspartic & glutamic acids, pKi & pKj are pK1 and pKR
- For arginine, histidine & lysine, pKi & pKj are pKR & pK2
