Other Techniques Under Development

There are other supporting technolgies being developed in the Chameleon Group. Below, we have built a device to apply intense electric fields to thin films inside the cavity of a computer-controlled UV/Vis spectrometer. The device is sheilded and experiments can be run under an inert atmosphere to prevent arching.

The device below was built to make ultra smooth, strong films of electrically conducting polymers. The films are grown on transparent substrates at controlled temperature, atmosphere and current.
